INTERCONNECT AND SYSTEM STUDIES
Transmission and distribution network analyses is performed to determine potential risks and / or future expansion capabilities for any electrical network.
ADM’s thorough understanding of network parameters and generating plant characteristics enable us to model system data and interpret the results. The analysis work, for all but the simplest schemes, is carried out using tried and proven simulation software, such as DIgSILENT.
ADM provides interconnect studies to specify the minimum technical and design grid connection requirements for grid-tied power plants.
The system studies have their main focal point on three main areas of the power plant, and transmission and distribution network analyses, namely:
- Load flow;
- System stability;
- Short circuit analysis;
- Dynamic studies;
- Reactive power.
The methodology and results for each part of the study is discussed and presented in conjunction with a PowerFactory (DIgSILENT) simulation model in a detailed report.
