PROJECT SUMMARY

Nordex Energy's Gibson Bay wind farm is located in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The wind farm consists of 37 Nordex N117 turbines with a capacity of 3MW each.

Power from the wind farm is collected at 33kV and evacuated to the Eskom grid at 132kV. The project was developed under the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPP) of South Africa.

ADM was tasked with assisting POWER Engineers in their Owner's Engineer role to Nordex Energy. ADM provided engineering design reviews of the electrical balance of plant; factory acceptance testing and general electrical engineering support.
